Getting Started

A Great Career Awaits You!

Getting Started 2021 is an excellent time to start a home health aide career. Because of Covid-19, many seniors choose to live at home instead of going to nursing homes or other healthcare centers. These locations are considered higher risk because of the concentrated groups. As a result, there has been a steady increase in the demand for home health aides.

Many retirement communities and senior centers partner with home health aides. You can also look for work through hospice agencies.

Job Opportunities

As the baby boomer population ages, there will be more and more demand for qualified home health aides who can support elderly and ill patients in their homes. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor predicts an astonishing 40% growth rate in-home health and personal care aide roles by 2026*. That's more than four times the average growth rate for all occupations.

What Others Are Saying

Extremely Knowledgeable

Regiena Albea

Ms. K is extremely knowledgeable regarding the field! She shared eye-opening stories that we might potentially encounter in the field. Can definitely say I learned something that will be beneficial when it’s time for me to pursue my career in the hospital. She is certainly someone who you can not forget, sticks with you, and just impacts you in a good way. If there is a book based on her life and experiences, I would be the first to purchase!!! Thank you, Ms. K!

I am taking the time to write this bc I want to thank Ms Natalie for her amazing class. She is informative, to the point and also has a great way of explaining things in an interesting way. Didn’t imagine myself actually enjoying this class as much as I have, but now very thankful that I gave it a try. Also really like Ms. K. They actually care that you are prepared. Going back to Beacon Hill for more training. Would recommend.
