Medication Aides can find employment at nursing homes, assisted livings, home health care, regional jails, detox, sober homes, and IOP facilities.

Work in rehabilitation facilities, correctional, schools, IOP, Detox, Sober House, psychiatric ward, hospitals and more

Most aides work in a client's home; others work in small group homes or larger care communities.

Peer support specialists hold positions in a wide range of working environments all over the United States.
Specialists are commonly employed by:
Outpatient counseling clinics
Detox facilities
Hospitals or wellness centers
Community centers
Telehealth

Licensing and/or certification requirements for jobs in this field are not the same in every state and may include educational, testing, and/or experiential requirements beyond those offered in the Beacon Career Training program. Prospective students should contact the state professional licensing board or similar regulatory body in the state(s) where they plan to work to determine their requirements before enrolling in this program. The online training certificate programs are for all 50 U.S. states and Canada.

Career diplomas are awarded for completing postsecondary vocational or technical training programs. Career diploma programs focus on providing specific education for job opportunities or advancement. Completing a diploma program may be formally required for employment or professional licensure, or it may be an optional way to acquire and demonstrate professional skills. Schools may refer to a career diploma as a certificate of completion or achievement. Career diploma programs are typically shorter than degree programs, and you can usually complete most in a few months, though some may be only a few weeks. Many programs are structured so that you can continue working while pursuing an education. Most career diploma programs combine traditional classroom learning with hands-on training to practice skills. Some programs include work experience opportunities and job placement assistance.

Health Care
Not all careers in health care require an advanced degree. You can gain medical and dental assistant or home health aide, resident aide, pharmacy technician, and phlebotomy training through career diploma programs that provide the required education for professional licensure in these fields.  You can also pursue optional career training in clerical and administrative aspects of health care with health care office management, billing, and coding career diploma programs.
